Photography Farm Part 2 {Styled Shoot}

Here is Part 2 of my blog about the brilliant Photography Farm workshop that I attended in September.  In Part 1 I shared the shoot we did with the fabulous Elbie, whose candy filled “Ice Cream Dream” as it’s being called, almost gave me toothache, it was that sweet!  I believe that it’s important to keep my photography skills as up to date as possible, and learn something new and the Photography Farm was the perfect opportunity for me to do that.  My friend Zoe Campbell had been to the Farm the year before and spoke so highly of her time there, so after reading a little bit more info on Lisa’s blog and on Zoe’s recommendation, I booked a place.

As my little adventure was getting closer, I was getting more and more excited by the day.  I think my bag was packed about a week before I was due to leave!!

It was an early flight, so kudos to my husband Gary for dropping me off at Glasgow Airport at 5.45 in the morning, even with a full day of work ahead of him! After arriving at Gatwick Airport, I made my way in a taxi to the photography farm.  After the introductions and having small chat to the other new farmers, Lisa gave a presentation and explained her expectations for next couple of days.

Day 2 was going to consist of some sound business advice from Lisa Devlin as well Kat Williams telling us all about her success with her blog Rock N Roll Bride.  Writing doesn’t come naturally to me, and blogs kind of scare me as I’m never sure how much content to add, so it was good to here Kat’s point of view and the benefits blogs can make.

Lisa & Alex were the couple that we were going to photograph first and they were so suited to this set.

Yet again the set looked great, complete with flamingos and a silver airstream caravan (which later converted in to a photobooth).
