A gorgeous wedding at Trades Hall, Glasgow

Story time! I’ve known one of the grooms, Iain, since 1997 when we were in high school together. He was in the year below me. After I left school and moved to Glasgow, we didn’t see each other for a while. Our paths did cross again. I was in a band with another school friend. It just so happened that Iain shared a flat with them. One gig, our final gig, Iain brought along a camera and took some photos of us rockin’ out. In the depths of my personal Facebook page, those photos can be found there. In a lovely reversal of roles, about 17 years later, Iain stumbled across my website when he was looking for a photographer for his own wedding.

Living and planning a wedding from the United States, and with help from Iain’s sister in law who lives in Glasgow, they chose Trades Hall. Despitethe building being over 230 years old, it is still used as a public hall and is kept in beautiful condition. Iain & Israel got ready in the impressive AC Hotel. They were kind enough to let us come back to the hotel later in the day for their couples portraits.

The Trades Hall is a stunning venue for a wedding. They were hosting guests from all over the world. There was more than enough space for them all to be seated for dinner and then ceilidh dancing at night time.
