Have you ever visited the incredible Dumfries House? If you haven’t, then you are missing a trick. You can go on a guided tour of the house during the summer season, or you can go to the new Education Farm. There is a lot to offer at this venue. From the house itself and the manicured gardens. The little cottages that you can stay in for you wedding, to the wide open space in the fields just over the bridge. There is a stunning little garden beside the cottages as well. That is where we focused our couple shoot on the day. Alisa & Mark had already had an engagement shoot with me so they were well practiced when it came to their photos on the day. It is also an opportunity to get at least 5 minutes to yourselves with me (and your videographers if you’re having one). You can chat about what you were up to in the morning. If you have a particularly great venue (like Dumfries House), they will make sure that you have some canapes on hand so that you don’t go hungry.
Alisa & Mark’s wedding ceremony was held in the Tapestry room in the main house. We had so much fun wandering about the grounds for the couple shoot.
